Creating a Schedule

To distribute content to devices, a schedule is created on a group of devices where content is added.

To add a content item to the schedule, please follow these steps:

  1. Go to the "Schedule" tab in the "Schedule" menu.

  2. Select the device group for which you want to schedule content to play.

  3. Once you select the desired time period on the calendar, the "Add content" button becomes active:

  1. After clicking Add Content, you can select the content item of a corresponding type from different tabs, including ScreenFlows, Playlists, ShowBoards, and Modules (e.g., the Check-in module). You can also filter content or search by name. Once you have selected the desired content for your schedule, click Next.

  1. In the next window, you can configure the time period for playing the content and define a repeat pattern if necessary.

Period: The time interval during the day(s) in which the content should be played.

Repeat: Define the type of playback recurrence.

  • Never — display only once

  • Daily — repeat every (second, third, etc.) day

  • Weekly — repeat every (second, third, etc.) week

  • Monthly — repeat every (second, third, etc.) month

  • Yearly — repeat every year

You can specify the From and End By dates for repeat playback, choose to run it Always, or end it after a certain number of occurrences.

If you want to prioritize the content item on the schedule, you can select the option "High priority on the schedule". This means that if there is any overlapping content, the content with high priority will be played.

  1. Once the schedule is confirmed by clicking Save, the assigned content is displayed on the calendar:

If multiple content items are scheduled to play at the same time, the Player will prioritize them based on their priority settings. Content items with higher priority will be displayed first. In case of multiple high-priority content items scheduled simultaneously, the system will display any one of them.

Adding a content item to the schedule updates it but does not publish the content. To apply the updates, users need to publish the schedule.

When changes are made to the schedule but have not been published, the Platform will display a message at the top saying: "!!! There are some unpublished changes in the schedule."
