Content Delivery to Devices

To initiate content playback, please ensure the following:

1

Your content is created and it is in the "published" state. See Content Creation and Content Publishing.

2

Your target device is online and assigned to a group. See Device Grouping.

3

Your content is scheduled for playback on the given device group. See Creating a Schedule and Publising a Schedule.

Once you publish the content and the schedule it is assigned to, the Players on the devices will promptly download that content and schedule from the server (see below for how to monitor the process). Consequently, the content will start playing on the devices according to the given schedule.

It's important to note that published content should be scheduled, and the schedule itself should also be published.

In the case of initiating Priority Content playback (see Assigning and Playing Priority Content), the Players on the devices will promptly download the priority content from the server and start playing it immediately, overlapping any scheduled content.

To verify that the intended content is actually delivered to your devices and for troubleshooting, refer to Checking Content Delivery.

Monitoring the Download Process

You can observe the process of content and schedule downloading in the Player, ensuring seamless updates and playback on the devices.
