Purpose of Groups

A device group (a group) contains one or more devices grouped together based on specific criteria (e.g., geography) or preferences to simplify the content distribution process. By placing multiple devices within a group, you can ensure that all of them play the same content simultaneously based on the specified schedule.

Content must be assigned to device groups for playback. Even if there is only one device, it needs to be included in a group.

Accessing Groups

In the Devices area, go to the Groups tab. Here, you can view how devices are aggregated into different groups.

Alternatively, you can check device grouping on the 'Devices' tab. All devices without assigned groups can be easily found in the "Unassigned" folder.

Creating a New Group

On the Groups tab, click 'Create' to add a new group:

Enter the group name and optional description, select users from the drop-down list who will manage the devices and schedules in this group, and add tags, if necessary. Confirm your entry by clicking Save. The new group is now displayed in the list of available groups.

To add a device to a group, you can specify the group when you create a device or change the assignment later with just a few clicks. To do this, click the corresponding device in the list of devices and select the required group from the drop-down list:
